Seasonal Wellness — Eating With the Calendar

Seasonal Wellness — Eating With the Calendar

One of the most profound ideas in both Ayurveda and modern nutritional ecology is that the food that grows in your region, in the season you are in, contains exactly what your body needs. This is not philosophy — it is biology. Seasonal foods contain the vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients appropriate for that climate and that time of year.

The Anavri Seasonal Calendar

Summer (March – June)

  • Cold brew Anavri green tea — cooling, antioxidant-rich, low caffeine
  • Lemon + Anavri honey in cool water — electrolyte replenishment
  • Coconut water with Anavri honey — a natural ORS for heat
  • Light ghee use — cooking only, not added raw

Focus: hydration, cooling foods, lighter digestion

Monsoon (July – September)

  • Anavri Tulsi Honey + ginger in warm water — respiratory and immunity support
  • Khichdi with extra Anavri ghee — easy digestion, gut warmth
  • Avoid raw honey in excess — Ayurveda classifies monsoon as a low-agni season
  • Anavri Orthodox tea with spices — immunity-supporting morning chai

Focus: gut warmth, immunity, avoiding heavy and cold foods

Autumn / Pre-Winter (October – November)

  • Begin morning ghee anupana — one tsp raw Anavri ghee on an empty stomach
  • Anavri Tulsi Honey + black pepper + warm water — the classic transition season tonic
  • Increase sesame and root vegetables — earth element for grounding
  • Anavri Orthodox tea — warming, gut-building theaflavins

Focus: building immunity before winter, warming digestive fire

Winter (December – February)

  • Anavri Turmeric Honey Latte every morning — full vitamin and antioxidant activation
  • Maximum Anavri ghee use — highest absorption of fat-soluble vitamins in the cold season
  • Ghee with jaggery — the traditional winter energy food of North India
  • Anavri Orthodox tea with milk, twice daily — cardiovascular warmth

Focus: maximum nourishment, deep immunity building, warm and heavy foods

The Anavri Promise

Everything here reflects the philosophy behind every Anavri product: that the original foods, made the original way, are almost always more sophisticated than anything a laboratory has produced to replace them.

The honey gathered by wild bees from a forest of hundreds of flowers. The tea leaf allowed to oxidise slowly over 18 hours. The ghee made from the milk of a cow that walked freely and ate grass. The spice harvested at the right moment of the right season from the right soil.

None of it is accidental. All of it is intentional. That is what Anavri means.

Eat with the calendar. Stock your season with Anavri.
