These recipes are designed around Anavri’s full product range — combining honey, ghee, and tea in ways that amplify the benefits of each ingredient and create genuinely extraordinary food.
Anavri Honey-Ghee Roti
The original Indian butter roti, elevated · 20 minutes · Serves 4
Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour (atta)
- Water as needed to knead
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp Anavri A2 Gir Cow Ghee (for dough)
- 1 tsp Anavri Wild Forest Honey (for dough)
- Anavri ghee to brush (while hot)
Method
- Mix flour and salt. Add ghee and honey, rub into the flour until it resembles breadcrumbs.
- Add water gradually and knead to a soft, pliable dough. Rest for 20 minutes covered.
- Divide into equal balls. Roll thin on a floured surface.
- Cook on a hot tawa until bubbles appear. Flip and cook the other side.
- Hold directly over the flame for 5 seconds on each side until it puffs.
- Remove and brush generously with Anavri ghee while piping hot.
Anavri Tip
The honey in the dough creates a subtle sweetness and helps the roti stay soft longer — a traditional baker’s trick. The ghee finish is not decoration; it is the final cooking step that creates that characteristic sheen and richness.
Tulsi Honey Green Tea Cooler
Antioxidant powerhouse · 5 min + chill time · Serves 2
Ingredients
- 500ml water
- 3 tsp Anavri Green Tea leaves
- 2 tsp Anavri Tulsi Honey
- 1/2 lemon, juiced
- Fresh mint leaves
- Ice cubes
Method
- Brew Anavri green tea in water at 80°C for 2 minutes. Do not overbrew.
- Strain and allow to cool completely to room temperature.
- Once cooled below 40°C, stir in Anavri Tulsi Honey until dissolved.
- Add lemon juice and stir. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Pour over ice, garnish with fresh mint, and serve.
Anavri Tip
Anavri Tulsi Honey adds the adaptogenic properties of holy basil to the EGCG richness of spring flush green tea. Both are enhanced by the Vitamin C from lemon. This is possibly the most antioxidant-dense cold drink you can make at home.
Anavri Ghee-Fried Eggs with Honey Drizzle
Protein-rich breakfast · 5 minutes · Serves 1
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1.5 tsp Anavri A2 Gir Cow Ghee
- Sea salt and black pepper
- 1/2 tsp Anavri Wild Forest Honey
- Fresh chilli flakes (optional)
- Sourdough or multigrain toast to serve
Method
- Heat Anavri ghee in a small non-stick pan on medium heat.
- Crack eggs gently into the pan. The ghee should be hot enough to create a gentle sizzle, not a violent one.
- Baste the egg whites with the melted ghee using a spoon until the whites are set but the yolk is still runny.
- Season with sea salt and black pepper.
- Remove to a plate. Drizzle a very small amount of Anavri honey over the yolk.
- Add chilli flakes if desired. Serve immediately on toast.
Anavri Tip
The combination of savoury, rich ghee with the faint sweetness of raw honey on a runny yolk is one of those combinations that sounds wrong until the first bite. The honey’s acidity cuts through the richness of the ghee. The result is profoundly satisfying.
Every recipe here is built on three Anavri staples: raw honey, Bilona ghee, and whole-leaf tea.
